Abstract: The National Health Commission has successively issued two health industry standards, WS/T 389—2024 “Medical X-ray Examination Procedure” and WS/T 873—2025 “Standard for Operation of Common DR Examinations in Township Hospitals and Community Health Centers”, to standardize the technical operation of medical X-ray radiography, improve image quality, and reduce the risk of misdiagnosis. However, these two standards differ in scope of application and primary contents. This article provides an overview and interprets the key contents of these two standards to assist radiological technologists to better understand and implement the standards, thereby providing a reference for enhancing the standardization of X-ray examinations.
