An Improved Method of CT Image Hardening Correction Based on Original Projection

  • 摘要: 在X射线CT(Computed Tomography)技术中,X射线能谱的多色性将导致重建图像出现杯状伪迹,降低成像图像的质量。为提高重建图像的质量,本文研究了一种校正X射线多色性产生硬化现象的方法。针对噪声多集中在高频部分的特点,先将投影数据分成高低频段,然后基于射线硬化的物理属性,采用本文研究的硬化校正方法对低频部分作校正,再和高频部分进行相加,并采用实验系统对其验证。实验结果表明该方法能够有效地提高重建图像的质量。

     

    Abstract: The polychromatic spectrum leads to cup or streak beam hardening artifacts and reduces the image quality in X-CT(X-ray computed tomography).A new correction method for this problem is studied in this paper.As to the characteristic of noise in the high frequency mostly,we divide the projection into high and low frequency.And moreover,we adopt the improved method this paper researched to the low frequency,which is based on the physical property.Then,the result is added to the high frequency.At last,we verify it through experimental system and the result indicates the method can improve the image quality effectively.
