  • In the theoretic formula of fan-beam filtered back projection (FFBP) algorithm, the projection imaging plane lies on the center of rotation, but in practical CT scan system, it keeps the center at a distance. With respect to this problem, this paper proposes an improved fan-beam filtered back projection (IFFBP) algorithm, and compares reconstruction quality of FFBP with IFFBP. The results of computer simulation and experiment validate IFFBP algorithm.
