    • <b<purpose</b< To study the multi-view CT technique for tympanum examination. <b<Materials and Methods</b< High resolution scanning of six patients tympanums was axially performed with GE Prospeed FⅡ CT, with coronal and sagital images reconstructed with MPR. <b<Results</b< The high resolution of reconstructed images, which are comparable to the cross section images, directly displayed from different angles the appearance of pathological changes and the neighboring anatomic structures of the tympanums. <b<Discussion</b< Application of HRCT in combination with MPR can acquire satisfying multi-view images of the details of the tympanums.
