  • <b<Objective</b< To evaluate multislice CT(MSCT) in the diagnosis of Lumbar disc protrusion. <b<Methods</b< 47 cases with Lumbar disc protrusion were examined with MSCT. All the patients were proved by operation and pathology. <b<Results</b< 56 protruding discs were found in 47 patients. Thecal sac was impinged upon in 36. Displacement and compression of nerve root in 28. encroachment on nerve root in 16. Schmorls nodes were found in 13 and vacuum phenonmenon at intervertebral disc in 8. <b<Conclusions</b< MSCT is an effective for the diagnosis of Lumbar disc diseases.
