CT Diagnosis of Facet Syndrome of Lumbar Spine

Objective To evaluate CT diagnostic values in the facet syndrome of lumbar spine. Methods CT findings in 100 cases with Facet Syndrome were retrospectively analyzed for 70 males and 30 females. Results CT findings:1 hypertrophy of articular process, osteophyte formation; 2 Stenosis in joint space and lateral recess; 3 sclerosis and defect on border of the articular aspect 3 vacuum phenomenon;4 asymmetry in articular joints. Conclusion CT can reveal anatomy and pathologic change of the articular joint clearly, and provide reliable images for diagnosis of facet syndrome.
