  • Objective To discuss the value of CT Opposite Scanning Technique in Lumbar Isthmus diagnosis. Method CT scanner frame incline to the head. The position line and Lumbar Isthmus are parallel to each other. The angle of scanning are opposite to the intervertebral discs level. Result The image produced by the CT opposite scanning technique could clearly display the width of fissure of Lumbar Isthmus and the circumstance of arthritis disordering. So we can prevent missed diagnosis. Conclusion CT opposite direction scanning technique should be used in the routine examination of Lumbar intervertebral discs.
