  • Cavity and honeycomb may form in the construction of concrete elements such us the column base and ground base beam of a high building. Seismic image profiling method(common offset profiling) is used to verify the integrity of the concrete construction elements. By model experiments, the anomalous characteristics of cracks and cavities on seismic image profiling are obtained, and the influences of offset and other survey parameters on the seismic image profiling are studied. The model experiments and practical application show that by careful selection of seismic source and survey parameters, the seismic image profiling method can used effectively to verify of the integrity of concrete construction elements.
