  • objective: By analysis the CT characteristics of globular pneumonia, we can know it well and distinguish it from other globular. lesion in the lung. Materials and methods Collect 20 cases of globular preumonia which are confirmed to be the disease after the treatment of antibiotics and made the retrospective analysis. Results, The CT characteristics of globular pneumonia are (1) there are 'square signs' between the lesion and pleura in 12 cases. (2)The density in the lesion center is higher than the edges in 10 cases.(3)There are bronchus gas image in the lesions in 6 cases (4)There is pleural thickening far from the hilus of lung to the lesion in 14 cases (5)There are increased brochovascular shadows near the hilus of lung to the lesion in 12 cases. (6)The lesions are completety absorbed in 2-3 weeks after the treatment of antibiotics in 16 cases Conclusion: The CT signs of globular pneumonia are characteristic. The diagnostic treatment is very important to the differential diagnoses.
