Clinical Application of Helical CT Virtual Endoscopy of Stomach

Purpose:To investigate the techical Principles methodmand clinical of helicalCT virtual endoscopy of stonmach. Material aild Methods: The volumetric data were acquired using aHelical CT scanner and transfered to a computer workstation .To reprduse the simulated endoscopyview multiple-projection image were the reeonstruted along the longitudinal path of the tissues andplayed back in movie format CT virtual endoscopy of stomach disease 5 was pthermed on 5 normalvolunteers and 5 patients with pathological confirmation by surgery or fiberoptic endoscopicbiopsy.Results: The appearances of normal inner wall and lesions on CT VE of the stomach was shailar to thoseof fiberoptic endoscopy.Conclusion: CT VE Provides an noninvasive diagnostic method to supplementfiberoptic endoscopy.
