The Effect of Different Iodine Concentration of Contrast Agent in MSCT Hepatic Arterial Angiography and Its Clinical Application

  • Objective: To evaluate the effect of different iodine concentration of contrast agent in MSCT hepatic arterial angiography and its clinical application. Method: 60 patients underwent abdominal scan. They were randomly divided into two groups and were injected with different concentration of iodine contrast agent. Group A was injected with contrast agent iohexol 300(300 mgI/mL) and group B was injected with contrast agent Ultravist 370(370 mgI/mL). The injection rate of two groups were 3.0 mL/s. We measured the level of the celiac axis, the level of the renal artery, iliac artery bifurcation at the abdominal aortic CT value and compared the CT value of the corresponding level of abdominal aortic. VR method was used in image processing. Abdominal aorta and its branches were analyzed and the image quality was evaluated. Results: The CT value of the group B was higher than that of group A(P< 0.05, the difference has statistical significance). Using VR method for hepatic artery angiography, group B has better effect in displaying the abdominal aorta and its branches(P< 0.05, the difference has statistical significance). Conclusion: At the same injection rate, the contrast agent volume of group B is less than that of group A, but the image quality of the group B is higher than that of the group A.
