  • This paper first summarizes the indoor experiment of rock resistivity under various loading conditions and outdoor research work of rock resistivity. These researches play an important role on understanding the change characteristics and laws of resistivity and exploring its mechanism. However, they mainly adopted the measurement system of four fixed electrodes in the experiment which can only acquire the comprehensive information of apparent resistivity change from a certain depth to the surface of the sample, and it cannot obtains the change behavior of apparent resistivity of different depth layers, which is conductive to further study the resistivity and its change mechanism of anisotropy. We acquire the resistivity data of different directions using electrical resistivity tomography, they can help us to get the changing resistivity and the anisotropy of resistivity curve with depth and to obtain the resistivity change images with stress, which may play a positive help on deeply studying and understanding the resistivity change mechanism.
